Judy Aldridge

I came across her blog and was quickly inspired by her sense of style, elegance, and her beautiful home.  She was oh so kind to send some pics and answer some questions.

Take a peek….

When I was a child I wanted to be…A nurse
The moment that changed me for ever….Going to Tokyo when I was 18.
My greatest inspiration…Just a steady stream of visual images–and my girls.
If I could change one thing about myself…One thing?  Oh gosh, which to choose.  I really need to be more organized and prioritize my time better.
What I see when I look in the mirror…wrinkes
My style icon….I like to see what Tilda Swinton is wearing.
My favourite item of clothing…I don’t think I really have one–I did just a KILLER 80’s dress by Richelene, so that is my favorite for the week.
I wish I’d never worn…I have no regrets–even if it was awful, I took a chance, and that’s what matters!
You wouldn’t know it but I’m very good at…sewing
You may not know it but I’m no good at…a lot of things–I”ll list one.  Cleaning
All my money goes on…Shoes and clothes of course.
If I have time to myself…I like to flip through magazines for inspiration or sew, or just do nothing.
I drive/ride…a small sedan
My house/flat is…wonderful
My most valuable possession is…my ideas.
A book that changed me…Believe it or not–Atlas Shrugged
My favourite work of art…Probably a painting Jane did for me when she was three.
The last album I bought/downloaded…I can’t remember!  Jane ususally makes CD’s for me now.
The shop I can’t walk past…Opening Ceremony in NY, and any vintage store.
In ten years time, I hope to be…happy and healthy
My greatest regret…I honestly don’t believe in regrets-but there was this pair of studded Givenchy’s…..;))
My secret indulgent…Great chips and salsa.
My life in seven words…Happy, Busy, Sastisfying, Creative, Loving, I think that’s it….

Animal print rugs

We have a brown and white cow hide in our living room, but I really like how the black and white one looks. Gosh I dig how the rug is on the sofa to the floor, very different but prob not that comfy huh.

If I were to get another hide, can I get b/w? Will it work in our brown/orange tone room….I need to consult with my friends that have interior design in their blood…Jill? Larry any feedback? =)

Inside the home of Helena Christensen

She is my all time fav supermodel turned photographer.  Always dewy skinned, natural and has a very bohemiam chic vibe.  Her home also has that same feel.  I wish I made it to her NYC store Butik.  I believe she closed this store when her partner moved back to Europe.

Carine Roitfeld

Editor in Chief of French Vogue…has great style, elegance and so tres chic. She looks amazing at 50something.  Dead straight hair, thick black eyebrows always dressed to the 9s. I think she has a raw beauty and I would love to see her in person and feel out her vibe and aura.  Google her name and CNN they did a lil follow Carine day…video..it’s pretty good.

I want her job, her closet and her son…;) j/k I love my husband.

Here is a peek of some photos of her home, it is very simple, clean and minimalist.

Marrakech

The beautiful Riad Trabel is a stunning guesthouse mixed with old colonial Riads with traditional arab-andalousian architecture. I hope to visit Morocco one day!
